Industrial Sectional Door

Industrial Sectional Overhead Door is the perfect solution for high-traffic areas that need a durable, reliable door. The door's sections fold up flat against the ceiling when opened, and its vertical opening allows for more space in front of and behind the door. It makes it easy to park vehicles and utilise more room inside the building. Moreover, sectional doors are a great way to maximise space and keep your work area looking neat and tidy. In addition to this, the double-skinned steel foam-filled panels are built for heavy usage, while the aluminium-framed and glazed panels provide varying degrees of high-quality vision.

Our sectional doors are built to handle the tough demands of busy industrial sites across London. They’re strong enough to take on heavy daily use while keeping your building safe and secure with reliable access control. We also make sure our insulated door panels meet all the latest building regulations. For this, we regularly consult with the steel suppliers’ technical specifications department. However, this keeps us up-to-date with the latest changes and industry developments and also means that we can offer our customers a high level of durability as well as finishing.

Space saving

The Commercial Sectional Overhead Door is extremely versatile. It can be positioned at any angle from horizontal to vertical. Consequently, no matter the shape of your commercial or industrial building, you can make use of the internal space to its fullest. Also, the guide rails can easily adjusted to accommodate changes in the roof line, maximising efficiency and convenience.

Motorised Operations

They are made up of several panels, or sections, that hinge together and roll up to open. These can be opened manually or with a motorised drive unit. The spring mechanism on them is in position to best suit the fixing point and usage requirements. Motorised drive units are available in low, medium, and high-usage models to fit the needs of different businesses. The position of the unit can also be customised to suit the roof design and track type required.

Insulation

Insulated sectional overhead doors are the perfect choice for applications where thermal performance is paramount. For example, warehouses, industrial units, etc., where temperature-controlled is required. They avoid cold bridging and guarantee a higher thermal performance in comparison to other traditional roller shutters. In addition to this, they help to keep your premises at a consistent temperature and prevent energy wastage.

The door panels are made of thick, rigid materials that seal tightly when closed. The joint between the door panels is sealed with a special gasket to prevent heat from escaping.

Long Lasting

As your business grows, so does the importance of having a dependable and high-quality sectional door installation. Our doors will offer many years of trouble-free operation with all serviceable components easily accessed. This is in contrast to most roller doors where problems typically occur in the side channels or inside the roll barrel, requiring sectional door repair. They also have a far sturdier operation action than roller doors, thanks to having fewer moving parts. Additionally, the whole door balance is superior, meaning far less stress is placed on the electric motor (whether single or three-phase).

They are a pre-assembled door unit that is composed of several interlocking panels. These panels are made of galvanised steel and fitted with end caps. The top and bottom panels also come with an aluminium retainer that helps to keep the top and bottom EPDM seals in place.

A variety of different locking options is available to select for this type of door. Additionally, wicket doors (doors within doors) that measure approximately 900 x 2100mm are also available. Low Threshold Profile has another feature which is equipped with a sash lock or push bar.

The outer skin is usually made from steel or aluminium and is available in any number of finishes to match the look of the building. To prevent weathering and corrosion, they are coated with a powder coating which can be customised to match the external cladding of the structure.

We usually finish the inside of the door with strong, galvanised steel that’s coated with polyester and has a stucco-embossed texture. It comes in a clean RAL 9010 white as standard. This surface becomes easy to clean and needs very little maintenance over time.

All our industrial doors are made to meet the European standard EN 13241-1:2003, so you can trust they’re safe and high quality.

Tracks

The tracks are made from galvanised steel for superior strength and durability. They can be bolted and riveted or spot welded for a more secure connection.  Also, they are available in a variety of lift configurations, including standard lift, high lift, vertical lift, and low headroom.

Hardware

All of our hardware has galvanised for weather protection, and the doors are supplied with adjustable side hinges, intermediate hinges, nylon rollers, cable sets, bottom corner brackets, spring bumpers, and self-tapping panel fixings. This makes sure that your shed will open and close smoothly and stay securely in place in all conditions.

Springs

Our springs are individually designed for each door, ensuring a perfect fit. We only use the highest grade springs, to EN Class SH specification, for greater durability and longevity. Each one is fully keyed to the shaft, with an adjustable coupler. A spring break device is supplied as standard, for safety in case of failure.

Operators

Push-up operators are spring-loaded and work by pushing the sectional door up to the required height. Chain hoists use a chain to lift the door to the required height. Electric operators come with a starter and torque bracket. A range of safety systems are also available, including cable break and spring break devices.

Sectional doors with windows can be customised to suit the specific requirements of your industrial facility. Windows can be installed in single or multiple panels, and panels are prefinished in an extensive range of colours and materials. Door systems come with a variety of window options, including clear, tinted, or frosted glass.
There are many electric motors and controls that can used with them. These include standard electric, chain-drive, belt-drive and direct-drive motors. As commercial sectional overhead door installers, we also have various surface finishes on the panels that can be selected to match the needs of the application. The most common finishes are powder-coated steel, stainless steel, and aluminium.
